Privacy Policy
This policy explains the personal information handled through hamiltonheavytowing.com and enquiries to Hamilton Heavy Towing. It describes the website's current form and email process. For urgent help, call 289-670-3373; the website form does not dispatch a truck. Privacy questions can be sent to hamiltonheavytowing@gmail.com or raised by phone.
Information in an enquiry
The quote form requires your name, phone number, selected service, vehicle or equipment description and pickup location. Email, destination and further details are optional. The saved record also includes a generated reference, submission time, the website page used and a delivery status. Information you include in free-text fields becomes part of that record.
Share only what is needed to assess the request. Avoid payment-card numbers, passwords, identity documents and medical information. If arranging help for someone else, provide their information only with appropriate authority and explain who should be contacted.
Why the information is used
Enquiry information is used to understand the vehicle, contact you, discuss access and destination, prepare a response and coordinate work you authorize. Relevant details may need to be discussed with an authorized vehicle representative, property contact or receiving repairer for that purpose. Submitting an enquiry does not sign you up for a marketing newsletter or authorize unrelated advertising.
Saving the form and sending the email
A successful form submission saves the enquiry in the website database and returns a reference. Automatic email delivery is currently unconnected. The confirmation offers a prepared email to hamiltonheavytowing@gmail.com: open it in your email application and press Send to deliver it. Saving or copying the enquiry alone does not notify the business. Your email application and provider handle the message you send.
Optional location sharing
Selecting 'Use my current location' asks your browser for location permission. If allowed, coordinates are placed in the pickup field. You can review or replace them before submitting; they are saved only as part of the pickup information when you submit the form. The site does not request this location until you select the button. Entering an address manually remains available, and browser settings control future permission.
Technical information, cookies and payment details
The form stores a hashed network identifier to limit repeated submissions. This is a transformed network address, rather than a claim that the record is anonymous. Hosting systems may separately process network addresses and request information to deliver and protect the site.
Current site code installs no analytics or advertising trackers or marketing cookies. There is no online payment form. Do not send card details through an enquiry.
Hosting, database and email providers
The website relies on hosting and content-delivery infrastructure, a Cloudflare database and email services, including Gmail for the business mailbox. Providers process information needed to operate their services; your own email provider also handles mail you send. Processing or storage may occur outside Canada and may be subject to the laws of those locations. External links have their own privacy practices.
Retention and basic form safeguards
Saved enquiries currently have no automatic expiry or deletion task. Removing or redacting a database record requires manual action. Enquiry and email records may remain while the request, authorized work, record-keeping needs or a dispute is being addressed; contact us to request a retention review. Removal from the enquiry database does not automatically remove email copies or provider backups.
The form applies input limits, validation and submission-rate controls. These measures do not make email or internet transmission risk-free. Keep sensitive material out of the form.
Access, corrections, consent and concerns
Contact hamiltonheavytowing@gmail.com or 289-670-3373 to request access, a correction, deletion review or a change to how your enquiry is handled. Include its reference if available. Identity and authority may need verification before information is disclosed. A withdrawal of consent can affect the ability to arrange service; legal retention requirements or other lawful limits may affect deletion.
Raise privacy concerns with the business first. You can also seek information or complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. This notice will be revised if collection, integrations or uses change; the date above identifies this version.
